With a career spanning two and half decades, Amit is an experienced industry leader in the financial services sector. Amit co-founded Capital India Group and led Capital India Finance Limited (CIFL) as its CEO for over three years. Under Amit’s leadership, CIFL grew into a INR 1000 crore financial services platform spanning corporate and consumer financing, Foreign Exchange and a Fintech business into last mile delivery of banking services.

Prior to founding of CIFL, Amit led Investment Banking practice for Infrastructure, industrial, real-estate, energy, logistics, cement, retail, metals, financial services, and other sectors at YES Bank. During his 11 years at YES Bank, Amit advised over 30 successful M&A and capital raising transactions, including several cross-border and private equity transactions.

Amit has earlier worked with Reliance Energy, CRISIL, Tata Unisys and the World Bank.

Amit is a management graduate from IIM Kozhikode, B. Tech from IIT (BHU) Varanasi and has completed LLB from Government Law College, Mumbai University. Amit is also a certified Yoga teacher and a regular practitioner.

Amit devotes a part of his time into philanthropic activities as Partner and Grants Committee Member (Mumbai Chapter) of Social Venture Partners (SVP) India – a pan-India collaborative philanthropy organization (https://svpindia.org/). He also mentors CIVIS – an NGO focussed on increasing citizens participation in law making process.
